On November 15, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of Inderbinen Blasinstrumente. Tommy Inderbinen is not only a musician and instrument maker, he is also a visionary and artist. He combines all these qualities in the development of his instruments and has created numerous fantastic instruments over the past four decades, which are played by many exciting musicians around the world. Quality was always more important than quantity, and even today, a small team in a small town in Switzerland continues to manufacture these extraordinary instruments.
I first visited this shop as a teenager and was thrilled by these very special trumpets and flugelhorns. I have now been playing these instruments for almost 25 years. In addition to my relationship with these special instruments, my relationship with the people who create them is also incredibly inspiring.
Tommy has an extremely fine sense of what a musician is looking for in an instrument. These impressions and exchanges with him have always inspired and motivated me a lot. I have also been fortunate to help organize a small concert series at the birthplace of these instruments in recent years.
Congratulations Tommy on this anniversary and retirement. Thank you for your continued support and inspiration. I wish Dominik and the entire team all the best for the future and look forward to continuing our exciting collaboration.
