It was my 17th festival in Langnau. After months of preparation it is always a pleasure to listen to so much live music and meet so many great people. Old masters, young shooting stars and promising up-and-coming musicians.
Always a great pleasure to meet and hear the amazing trumpet players Theo Croker and Shane Endsley. I was also particularly pleased to see Michael Gilsenan’s Shane Quartet, whose musicians I have watched throughout their studies at university, on the main stage representing the young Swiss scene. Another highlight of this festival is the concert of the piano wizard Aaron Parks and his wonderful band.
