I recently stumbled upon some photos from the early days of my journey as a concert organizer. Peter Schärli not only became an important teacher in the late 1990s, after I had heard him play live a few times, but his music and sound were also a great source of inspiration for me during that period. In 2001, I organized a concert for him and his Special Sextet at Kulturwerk 118 in Sursee (as a part of my concert series called Metaphon). Last fall, after many years, I had the opportunity to do so again as part of the Inderbinen Concerts – this time with his long-standing trio featuring Juarez Moreira, which also included pianist Hans Feigenwinter, who had already been part of the other group in 2001.
