It’s wonderful to be a part of this festival. Already for the 22nd time I could discover a lot of music at this magic place, that has influenced me a lot since my first visit in 1997. For many years now I have been a part of the greatest team and this year again I was able to enjoy the uncomplicated, experienced cooperation of the Jazz Festival Willisau family. There are always five days full of music and the possibility to meet many amazing people. I am already looking forward to the next edition from 28 August to 1 September 2019.
To my great delight, this year’s festival presented some great trumpeters such as Jaimie Branch with her band Fly or Die, the Swiss jazz veteran Hans Kennel or the young up-and-coming talent Silvan Schmid.
